On September 11th, 2024, the heart of West Hollywood came alive at Poppy Nightclub as we gathered for a truly unforgettable evening—one that celebrated the legacy of Alexis Arquette and raised vital funds for The Alexis Project, a program of VIP Community Mental Health Center. With the support of family, friends, celebrities, and the broader community, we honored Alexis’s vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to the LGBTQ+ community.

Honoring The Alexis Project’s Mission
Founded in 2016 after Alexis Arquette’s passing, The Alexis Project is dedicated to providing affirming care for transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse individuals. The program’s founders, Dr. Astrid Heger and Dr. Tracey Samko, delivered powerful keynote addresses, speaking to the ongoing efforts to normalize healthcare for LGBTQ+ youth and create a model of care that can serve as a national example.
Dr. Heger reminded the audience, “In today’s climate, this work is more important than ever. The Alexis Project is committed to creating safe spaces and providing specialized care to the LGBTQ+ community, ensuring that no one feels alone or unsupported.”

The stage was alight with energy as Candis Cayne, Sherry Vine, and The McLarens took to the stage, bringing incredible performances to honor Alexis. Hosted by the legendary Jackie Beat, the night was full of laughter, music, and unforgettable memories.

As part of the fundraiser, the Alexis Project unveiled a limited edition collection, designed to embody Alexis Arquette’s iconic lips in a striking, Warhol-inspired print. The shirts, along with other limited pieces, such as canvas bags and art prints (coming soon), are now available for pre-sale. Each purchase directly supports the Alexis Project’s mission, with the promise that no LGBTQ+ individual will face the world alone.
